I am a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.
Mamacita is quite a character. She is an older female – about ten years old. She is a brown tabby with long hair. She is very cute and a little quirky in her appearance from a mild ataxia. She is also deaf, so is considered a “Special Needs” kitty. Mamacita is also considered “Special Needs” because she tests positive for Feline Leukemia, which is dormant. She is healthy, but if she starts to have any health issues, they will need to be addressed immediately because her immune system is compromised. Mamacita is very affectionate and friendly. She likes to hang out with her human friends. She does get picked on sometimes by other kitties so she could really use a home of her own where she is free to express her sweet and friendly nature. She would do fine if she was in a household with other cats, but they would have to be cats that also test positive for Feline Leukemia. They would also need to be good-natured types who would be respectful to her. Mamacita would be delighted to live in a house with a caring human companion either with one or two other FeLV kitties or as the only kitty in the house. She needs an observant, loving and kind caregiver. She would be so grateful to have somebody like that, as her best friend.
