Miss Violet's Story...

Meet Miss Violet. She is a 2 years young American Staffordshire Terrier mix whose interests include cuddling, walking, hiking, and mouthing everything. She loves having toys to play with, so her new home will need to provide her with her own toys, bones, playtime, and some training to keep her mind and body healthy. She quickly discovers the inner workings of a toy so she will need a continuous supply of them. This sweet girl is house trained, is leashed trained, has a few basic commands down, she gets along well with people, children, dogs, and cats. She has a low prey drive, so if cats will run she may chase them, otherwise she is good with cats. Violet likes to cuddle with you or lay down with you, wherever you may be or whatever you may be doing. She is a lover, not a fighter! She is the sweetest dog I have ever met. Miss Violet can be very good at theatrics when it comes to performing for people to get them to come and pet her. She has been known to draw a crowd across a busy room to see her. Violet will be happiest when she can be a part of her person's daily activities. Her family will need to be sure that Violet feels like she is part of a close knit group. She is spayed, micro chipped, vaccinated, licensed and a complete health workup. Miss Violet is still growing her fur on her body from the neglect she was rescued from. She has basic protein allergies and we have found chicken and turkey to be reactive to her skin. Of course she LOVES chicken. We have found lamb, duck and salmon works well for her. Beef has been untested. She will go home with her new family with all her medical records and DNA test results.

A $250 Adoption fee applies. This includes:
Spay/Neuter

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miss Violet, a Rogue River American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer for sale in Rogue River, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Rogue River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rogue River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rogue River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rogue River paves the way for another one to be saved.
