More and more, I'm forgetting the past More and more, I'm living at last Day by day, I'm losing my blues - from 'More And More' written by Merle Kilgore
More and more Kilgore's lookin' for YOU!! Kilgore is a very handsome one year old brindle Australian Shepherd and Cur mix who weighs right at 50 lbs. Kilgore was an owner surrender through no fault of his own. The previous owner fell on hard times and could no longer give him the life he needed...and yes his name has always been Kilgore, more precisely Kilgore Trout. Kilgore is a happy sweet fun loving goofball who thinks he makes the perfect lap dog. His foster mom speaks of him lovingly and states that he is both very smart and trainable. He is very well behaved in his crate but foster mom stresses he has been well exercised prior to crating. Kilgore also has very good house manners and has learned to use the doggy door to excuse himself for personal business. Our impish boy does very well playing with other dogs but he can be somewhat obtrusive to the quieter nature of more mature dogs. He is an energetic pup but not so much as to be considered hyper. An active family or person who is willing to spend the time and effort to train him and channel his energy to maximize his potential (such as running partner) would be the ultimate loving forever home match. True to his shepherd roots, he possesses the natural instinct to herd and will do so in a gentle fashion with other dogs and youngsters. While he is very good with children, we do suggest a home with older children would be best for his active nature. Kilgore absolutely adores his people and is happiest being close to them when it is time to relax. He loves nothing more than to lay his head (or his whole body) on the lap of the object of his total affection. Kilgore is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on preventatives. He is ready to reach his final destination into the loving home, hearts, and arms of the people who will take care of him for the rest of his life. If you find yourself thinking more and more about Kilgore we certainly know why. After all...who can resist the fun loving demeanor of a fun loving little boy?
