Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet our special little 8 pound ball of fury… Doodle. Grumpy, snobbish, and snappy he will bring his new family hours of reflex training and laughs. Night time will be the only time of the day when you feel completely safe, as he sleeps in a crate soundly. That is … after you somehow manage to get his eye drops onto his eyeballs.
Not only will you not be safe, either will your floors. He is potty trained but also likes to come back in after a long potty and mark on things. Of course, we will supply you with a belly band. Good luck getting it on him without screaming and a full-on tantrum. He won’t ever break this marking habit so, it is what It is.
Good news is he is great on a leash and isn’t reactive to anything on his walk. At home he barks when he feels like it but will stop if corrected. One of his party tricks is that he mimics sirens when emergency vehicles go by.
He doesn’t really like treats unless they are super meaty ones. If you try to feed him vegetable snacks he will throw them back in your face with a look of disgust.
In the car he needs to be in a crate and then he tells you how he feels about this injustice and your crappy driving by barking incessantly for 5-10 minutes until he realizes it’s going to be a longer drive.
Kids are a no. Unless you hate your kids. That would be on you, though.
Doodle isn’t cat tested. We don’t want to cat test him. Unfair to the cats, really.
He only likes his own humans and only their presence. He doesn’t always like to be petted and doesn’t care for any other humans. Best not to touch him, really. And definitely don’t point at him. He will bite you.
In his free time he likes to pee on anything in his area. If he runs out of pee he will eventually fall asleep.
Is he cute? Yes, in photos he is cute, and he does some growly talk that would likely make him an internet superstar with the right agent and social media manager.
He can be an only dog or have a more dominant buddy that won’t take his crap, but won't eat him either.
Doodle has dry eye and requires eye drops twice a day. If you can get this done, you will feel like you just ran a marathon. He eats a Just Food For Dogs Potato and fish food to keep his liver numbers in check. He is about 9ish years old... maybe 10... but he’s not a senior. Unless he’s one of those kickboxing seniors.
So if you don’t have kids or a clotting disorder, and are interested in meeting Doodle, please let us know. Doodle is located in Orange County, CA
