Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ashkii means -little boy- in Navajo. I am about 50 pounds now, but my owners rescued me on the reservation in Kayenta when I was a small puppy about two years ago. I'm very affectionate, I'm house-trained, neutered, and obedient. I shed, but only a little. I have a healthy, shiny, brindle-coloured, mixed soft and wire terrier coat. I get along with other doggies. We live in Flagstaff right now, but I can come down to meet you if you would like to meet or adopt me. =)
Why can't my family keep me, you ask? They do love me, and want to make sure that I go to a good home, that's why I'm listed with a rescue! I'm anxious around small children, which they tell me is common for doggies. Heck, even some people get anxious around small children if they're not used to them. I need a home with adults, without small children living there.
I love to play with toys with my humans and to chase a ball. I also like to cuddle and be hugged. I don't know everything yet, but I love to please my humans, so I try to understand what they want and to do it. Please be patient with me though, since Human is a foreign language for me! =)
I am neutered, fully vaccinated, parasite-free and have my microchip, so I don't end up lost again. I'm very proud to say that I'm reliably house trained, crate-trained, doggy-door trained, and walk very well on a leash. My adoption fee is $200.
