Dora's Story...
Dora is a gorgeous girl who was brought to us because her owner could no longer keep her. She is such a sweetheart! She starts purring almost the instant that you pet her. She craves attention and has just the cutest little feminine meow! She is as bit snuffly, but her owner said that she has always been that way. Dora would like a home where she can get all the loving her heart desires!

For more information on Dora, call AWS at 860-354-1350 or visit us during adoption hours (Tuesday from 11 a.m until 7 p.m and Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) Adoption fee for cats is $100 and kittens are $125.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dora, a New Milford Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in New Milford, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in New Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
