Mindy's Story...
Hey there! My name is Mindy. My foster mom says I look like a yellow lab, except that I have these adorable little short legs! I weigh 35 lbs and my foster mom made sure I am spayed, UTD on shots, on heartworm prevention and microchipped. The vet believes I am around one year old. My sister Molly and I were running around looking for food and a safe place to sleep when this really nice lady put us in her car and then we came to live with the rescue ladies. We really like it here- they feed us every single day (this is new to us!) and give us treats and lots of toys. The rescue ladies say there are families who need a new four legged family member- could I be yours?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mindy, a Richmond Labrador Retriever/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Dachshund for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Dachshund breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
