Hancock's Story...
Take me home!

I'm the sweetest boy you'll meet. I came from Kansas City, but no-one knows much about me. I'm being fostered with a family and their dog in Grinnell, where I first stayed at the Poweshiek Animal League Shelter (PALS). I'm probably 2-3 years old. I'm probably a pointer/boxer mix. I'm just happy all the time. I'm great with dogs and people. I'm obedient, loving, house-trained, neutered, micro-chipped, and I know how to sit. Come visit me! Email pals@palspetsia@gmail.com for a visit or more info. Apologies in advance for licking. I have the tongue of a cow, and I just want to tell you how much I love you. I would be great for a family with children or other pets as I love to play.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hancock, a Grinnell Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Grinnell, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Grinnell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grinnell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grinnell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grinnell paves the way for another one to be saved.
