Clarice's Story...
Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.

Clarice is a beautiful, loving dog who would love to be the newest member of your family. She is about 6 years old and heartworm negative. She is lover who loves being by your side and watching tv. She enjoys short walks but doesn't care much to stay outside for long periods of time. Clarice is ready to start the next chapter of her life in a happy, loving environment like she truly deserves. She does great with other dogs, cats, and children. She would enjoy having other dogs to play with, but she would also do great in a home by herself where she can get all of the love and attention to herself. She is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via All Paws transport services upon adoption. Her adoption fee is $400 and includes spay, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, and transport costs.

Second Chances is a rescue organization based out of Pontotoc, Mississippi which adopts dogs and puppies all over the Northeastern United States. All of our dogs and puppies are kept in private foster homes in Mississippi until adopted. Our dogs are NEVER in a facility.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clarice, a Kittery Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Kittery, or seeking a Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Kittery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kittery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kittery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kittery paves the way for another one to be saved.
