Shadow's Story...
My name is Shadow. My brother and I were being given away for free because our owner was moving, but Planned Pethood stepped in to take us. We were very scared and unsure when we got to our foster home, not wanting contact with each other or people. My "mom" separated us and I began to calm down. I am really a nice girl, but can be a little moody at times. With my big beautiful eyes & the cute white spot on my chest, I am a gorgeous girl. I can be a "talker", meowing for attention and then I will rub all over you. I do not like other cats, hissing & growling when I see them, so it is best that I am an "only cat", at least for now. I am looking for a home that will provide me with the security and love that I deserve. I am 2 years & 8 months old. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Shadow, please contact her foster, Sue at 419-250-0846. - See more at: http://www.plannedpethood.org/cats/available.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Toledo Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Toledo, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Toledo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toledo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toledo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toledo paves the way for another one to be saved.
