Sparky's Story...
Hi there! My name's Sparky, and I'm around 8 years old. I was recently surrendered to the shelter by my owners, who were no longer able to care for me. I'm a very sweet and loving boy, and would love to be your new best friend! I enjoy going for nice long walks, and getting lots of attention. I would do well in a home with other dogs, but we're not sure what I think about cats yet.

Prior to being adopted I will be up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and will have a microchip. All I need now is someone like YOU to take me home and love me! The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sparky, a Youngwood Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
