Bo's Story...
Adopted as a puppy, this fella was originally named Trynez, but grew up knowing the name "Bo." As he approached his 3rd birthday, the children in the home became too much for him and he found himself back at DHA. Bo is a tall, elegant fella who wags his long tail happily when you say hello to him and would love to find an easy-going, yet fun-loving home. He knows how to sit and will take treats gently if you tell him to do so! He absolutely adores squeaky toys and enjoys playing ball. He would do best in a home without other animals as he always wants to be your number one! He would love to be with someone who can show him how to be brave! Won't you come spend some time with him today?

We will let you know Bo is available and able to have applications submitted once you've met. For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bo, a Wilmington Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Greyhound for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Greyhound dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Greyhound breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
