After the one human that took care of him all his life went into hospice care, Chip is in need of a new family. Chip is cautious when he meets new people, but is quite curious so we believe that once he starts trusting humans, a social and delightful boy will emerge. Chip loves being outside and is active and ok on leash, so he will benefit from formal training. He is more nervous when indoors, but we expect that the presence of a stable human pack leader will help Chip relax and become playful. He is also good with cats and other pets, and would benefit from a home with another dog with whom to bond. Chip has great potential of being a loyal companion to the adopter who will provide him love, security, and that sense of home that he has been missing for some time.
If you are interested in meeting Chip, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and fax it back to us at (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions.
[Chip is about 5 years old and weighs 44 lbs.]
