Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Karlie is a 1 old black German Shepherd mix. She is on a smaller side, only about 50 lbs. She has a sweet and loving personality, still a lot like a puppy but a puppy with a past. Karlie is shy at first so she needs a family who will have the time and patience to show her some love. She was possibly abused and more likely not exposed to much as she is scared of a lot of outdoor things that she is not familiar with, such as moving leaves, strange noises, hoodies..... etc... however, she does excellent when going to public places. She walks well on leash and if approached the right way, she will give kisses to strangers. She is also a great back seat driver :-)
Karlie is currently in a foster home with a family with 2 adults, 4 children, 3 dogs and 2 cats. She feels a lot more comfortable inside the house, that is where she jumps up on your lap and demands attention. She is also crate trained. The foster family is currently working on potty training as she seems not to know how to go outside on leash. She is much better when she's off leash so a fenced in yard in her forever home is a must. If interested in meeting Karlie, please fill out an adoption application at www.dbgsdrescue.org
Her adoption fee is $200
