Sprinkles's Story...

This is Penny Sprinkles. She is an American Fuzzy mix, w/medium long hair. She's approximately 2 years old and about 5 pounds. Sprinkles has wonderful litterbox skills and is one of the cleanest bunnies that we've ever seen. She is a little shy, since she had to fend for herself in the wild near I-40 in Tijeras outside Albuquerque before a group of volunteers managed to capture her. But her shyness is temporary - she warms up to you comes to be petted and will eat out of your hand. She would do well on her own as a single bunny in a home that gives lots of attention, or as a companion to a bunny friend. She is young, has bright eyes and likes to also be held on your lap. She likes to chew on her cardboard house and rearrange her pen area. She likes paper towel rolls stuffed with hay, but she really likes pets on the head.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sprinkles, a Albuquerque English Spot was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Spot for sale in Albuquerque, or seeking a English Spot from a breeder in Albuquerque.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albuquerque already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albuquerque breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Spot breeders who help with English Spot rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albuquerque paves the way for another one to be saved.
