Duane's Story...
Duane is an adorable buff Tabby boy with white. He came in to a city shelter with his mama (Marianne), brother (Danny) and sister (Darla). Mom and babies were all healthy and well-nourished so we believe she was someone's pet. The three babies have been initially quite scared and will need a period of adjustment into their new homes. They still run but are becoming more tolerant of being held and are becoming more accustomed to playing with their foster mom. Of the three, Duane is clearly the leader and the bravest of them all. Not recommended for homes with children under the age of ten! Adoption fee is $85 for Duane and $130 for both Duane and his brother Danny. Please contact his foster mom, Judy at 913-383-1584 or her email at judythump@sbcglobal.net to find out how to meet him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duane, a Overland Park Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
