My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Arya is a playful, 30lb, 1year old shepherd mix. I chose this name because when I first saw her picture she didn’t have a name, so she was No One, (those who watch this tv show will get my reference). She gets along well with dogs, cats and people. She looks so stoic in her pictures, but she’s really a silly thing. She is what I’ll call a sneaky snuggler. If I leave even an inch of space between myself and the couch, she’s squeezing in behind me. I try to be annoyed, but you can’t help but to be pulled in by her “innocent” face that says “what? I just wanted to be next to you.” She loves being with people, she will follow you around the house and plop down wherever you end up. She does have some inappropriate chewing, which you can curtail by giving her plenty of toys to choose from. Arya does have a curiosity with cats, but not all cats will approve of her in the face approach. She just seems to be fascinated by them and figuring out how to get them to play with her. She enjoys being outdoors, but does needs to work on her leash manners. She enjoys playing in the water and running after it when I’m watering the lawn. Arya is crate trained and in the couple weeks I’ve had her has only had one accident inside the house, so I want to say she is housebroken or close to it. I think she could benefit from some obedience training to help channel her energy in a positive way. Arya is a very sweet, but determined dog. She has jumped over a 42inch high baby gate to be with the family, so she is also smart and resourceful. Arya is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is 200.00. If you are interested in making her a part of your family, please call Teresa at 630-815-1440.
