Fritzie's Story...
What a doll face this one is! Fritzie is all snuggles, all the time. If you are looking for a sweet cuddle companion, she is your girl. Fritzie was rescued from a traditional shelter, and she found her way to us through the help of a caring foster who opened her home to this lucky cat. Her foster described her as a sweet, relaxed, loving cat who will follow you around waiting for your lap to be available. Fritzie is so ready for a forever companion! And given her gentle demeanor, she would do well in almost any home. However, she doesn’t have much experience to our knowledge with dogs or other cats, so please check with a counselor to see if she would fit in with your multi-animal home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fritzie, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
