Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tuxie was a young mother, probably her first litter. She was brought in off the streets by a good samaritan, but couldn't stay. We agreed to take her on, knowing it will be a while before she could be adopted. Well, Tuxie had a difficult time in delivery, she lost the first kitten, and began to hemorrhage. The second kitten was born alive but Tuxie was too weak to help him. We began caring for him and Tuxie went to the veterinarian where she needed an emergency spay, another kitten was inside ... but was stillborn. Days like that make us realize how important it is to help strays, and to SPAY & NEUTER your pets. What if Tuxie never made it inside? She and her little family would have all perished, alone and in pain. Her little male kitten thrives nursing on a bottle, he is a real fighter, just like his mother. Tuxie is now healed and awaiting her turn to go HOME. Please give this little lass a chance to be loved and really cared for the rest of her life. All her troubles are behind her and now she needs a PURR-manent home!! Pardon the blurry photos, she is SUCH a LOVER, difficult to be still for the camera. She just wants lots of pets and rubs all over. You can tell she is grateful to be alive. : ) BONUS... she likes dogs and will snuggle up with her foster dogs on the couch, so cute! If interested in adopting, please visit www.masrescue.org and click on "Adopt Here". The adoption fee is $50. Please note: 100% of all the adoption fees collected are used to care for the animals, and pay our ever increasing vet bill. We appreciate your interest in adopting from a rescue organization. cWe understand the desire to meet our "cuties" as soon as possible, but because we operate entirely out of foster homes, we need to limit visitation to approved applicants only. Breed Selection is 'Best Efforts' by shelter staff, veterinarians and rescue volunteers. No guarantees are implied.
Cats are NOT to be de-clawed, and must remain indoor pets only.
Remember adoption is a commitment for the lifetime of your companion; cats could live 20 years or more!!
