Tinky SOS's Story...
AVAILABLE 03-03-16 Tinky is a super friendly Torbie cat. She was brought to the Shelter on 02-29-16 when her family had to move and couldn't take her with them. Tiny was good with other cats and a small dog in her former home. Tinky loves to be petted and she lets you know it when you open the door to her cage. Five year old Tinky is spayed and her shots are up to date. She qualifies for our SOS (Save Our Seniors) program so her adoption fee is half to an age 55 or older adopter. Tinky would make a great Feline Family member, so hurry to the Shelter today before someone else adopts this sweet lady.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tinky SOS, a Elizabeth City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
