Hi! My name is Andi. I am estimated to be eighteen months old and weigh about 20 pounds.
The best word to describe me is silly! I will give you a belly laugh when I ask for a belly rub. I love belly rubs! I have some trust issues and will need a patient adopter that will work with a trainer to help me work things out. I love people and other dogs (although dogs that are too pushy scare me and make me run and hide). I have shown resource guarding in my foster home, and while my foster mom is working with me on this I will need continued support and training. I have guarded bones in the house, so no bones for me! I also have guarded my crate or area where I sleep. I don't want to do it, and I know that it's irrational because I can get very upset one minute and then go back to wagging my tail and wanting to be pet the next minute. I am hoping for an adopter with dog experience to come along to take me home and help me build my confidence and work out these issues. I am such a good girl and I just want to be loved! I am ready to put my past behind me and move into my new home being the best dog I can be!
I am housebroken, up to date on immunizations,on preventative treatment for heartworm and fleas and microchipped.

Andi is being fostered in Holyoke.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
