Here's what the humans have to say about me:
JR was sadly living alone in a tiny rectory after his owner (an elderly parish priest) became ill and could not longer care for him. He was on his way to the City Shelter, when Friends of Chicago Animal Care (fcacc.org) stepped in to help find him a loving home. He is a goofy 3-4 yr. old, 75lb, male Collie mix looking for a family to call his own. JR is neutered, micro-chipped, current on vaccines and house trained. Because of his size, he would do best in a family with no small children and a yard - or close-by park - where he can run and play. JR has lots of energy and is currently working on his manners. He is a good boy that learns fast as he is eager to please you. JR loves to go for walks and does well on a leash. He would be an asset to any family! He is a real people canine - and greets you with loads of sloppy kisses. He is inquisitive with cats, but shows no aggression toward them.
For more information or an application for JR - please email his foster mom Lori at fcacfoster@gmail.com or contact kat@fcacc.org for an application. He will only be adopted in the Chicagoland area. An application and home visit are required. His adoption fee of $200 will help defer vetting costs which allows FCACC the opportunity to save additional animals from the Shelter.
