Hi friends! My name is Max. I’m a 3 year old, 45 lb. boy. I ended up in a shelter in East Alabama & they posted on social media that they needed a rescue to take me in. Luckily for me the AGB volunteers are always on social media looking for dogs in need . They saw me & agreed to take me in. The next day a volunteer lady came to get me & drove me all the way to Birmingham. She said I was very sweet. I jumped right in the back of her SUV, gave her kisses & settled down quickly. I‘m a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly. I really rather have petting than toys or treats! AGB is giving me my shots & getting me neutered & they found I have these things called heartworms. That made me sad & a little scared, but they promise to give me the medicine & care I need to get well so I can find my forever family. They have even set up a special fund where people can make donations to help get me well. Just being loved & cared for has made me feel better already!
