MEET FERRIS….and on his “day off,” he landed on the freeway, lost and forlorn. This precious, 2-3 yr old, 8 lb, golden, Maltese, Shih Tzu ? mix was brought to us when his Good Samaritan, who saved his life, was unable to find his people and had no place to put him. So, despite his filth and fleas, we were the lucky ones she chose to take care of him. Ferris has a personality that will endear you to him. He is like a velcro dog, once he knows you, and will kiss you to let you know he trusts you. He can be a little shy at first or bark if he doesn’t know you. He is submissive and will let dogs crawl all over him, but he also can be dominant, despite his petite size. Ferris could go to almost any home, except not one where he is left alone all day or a senior home where he might trip someone, as he is usually under foot or on your lap! He has good energy, LOVES to go for walks, loves his toys….but most of all his people. Another dog would be preferred, kids over 8 yrs old welcomed! Are you the forever home for Ferris?

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
