Facts about ROBBIE

  • Breed: Chihuahua Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
ROBBIE's story is a tough one. Kept as a backyard dog, he spent his young life outside, but at least with his female mate and their many pups. When the owner died, the dogs and pups had to be re-homed fast. We helped the family by taking a total of 12 dogs and pups, including two with parvo virus. These dogs were all a little timid and uncertain of human attention, but as with all the others, once ROBBIE trusts you he is a delightful small, affectionate lover.

He will do best in a quiet adult home, with or without another dog. After all the difficulties of his previous life he deserves all the love in the world. He does have an old injury, which was never treated, to one of his front legs, which makes it seem almost rubbery. As a consequence he can sometimes seem uncomfortable.

He is a sweet loving, loyal companion.

About PAW FUND

About Our Rescue Group...

Our adoption program is just one of the services we offer our community. We believe in prevention so we run monthly Free Vaccine Clinics for the residents of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, as well as funding low cost and free spay and neuter surgeries to low income and homeless community members. Our adoptable pets come from two sources - directly from the community as owner surrenders, or from our local partner municipal shelters.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets are in foster homes in the Bay Area. We can usually arrange a meet and greet within a day or two.

We host adoption events outside the Berkeley Animal Care Services shelter (one of our close partner organizations) or at the store GEORGE in Larkspur Landing, in Marin. But these are not on a regular schedule as we do a lot of outreach work in our community and our weekends are sometimes taken up with those events. Please check our Facebook Page for details of events, or email us.

Our Adoption Process...

Our fee is $200 for pups or dogs and $100 for kittens or cats.

We ask you to complete an adoption application which is not available online yet, but can be emailed to you. We try to have adoptions which really meet the needs of the individual pet, we encourage multi pet households as most dogs and many cats are very social and need each other. We need to feel that this is a good fit for everyone, and we are as honest as we can be about the good and not sof good points of our adoptable pets. We want it to work!
