My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Scarlett.  Scarlett will be two years old on July 4 - a little Independence Day baby!  Which is quite fitting because she is, indeed, a little star. She is a petite tri-color with a semi rough coat who comes from a line of working dogs and was born right here in sunny Southern California. Her nicknames are Scar, baby girl, little girl, and sweet girl.

Her enthusiasm and desire to be loved make her an ever present companion who is happiest when she's by your side. Literally. She loves to lay right beside you or sit right beside you or stand right next to you. Scarlett loves to cuddle, snuggle, and play fetch. Oh, yeah, and she loves treats (but who doesn't??). Scarlett has more cute and endearing personality traits than one little fur child should. She can say more with her expressions and eye movements than many humans can say with words and you will find yourself laughing at her silliness on a daily basis. She's a talker and will actually smile at you. And that's the moment you will fall in love with this precious girl.

Scarlett is a little weary of new friends, but warms up given enough time with someone who doesn't try to force him/herself on her. She is a dominant female and would probably do best with another dog in the home. If  not, she would likely be happiest with an owner who works from home or has a part time job and who is around to provide some companionship for her. Scarlett knows basic commands and is crate trained. Although, she does like to like to eat in the privacy of her own crate.

The ideal home for Scarlett would be one that is active and will give Scarlett a job to do.  She also needs a BC savvy home who understands the needs of this breed.  Scarlett is athletic, loyal, beautiful and smart as a whip.  She is a busy little girl, yet very loving.  She came into rescue with her pal Gunner.  They can be adopted separately or together.
