Spayed female Silver Standard Poodle About 55 pounds 11 years young
My formal name is Amelia, but everyone calls me Amy. Let me tell you a little about myself. I like to hike on open space trails – in fact, the nice lady that is fostering me took me for a four mile walk just this last week, and it was great! I even got the chance to show off a couple of my hundred yard dashes! I just love being out and about in the car, anything from errand runs to long trips are fine with me. But if you need to leave me at home while you run errands to places that don’t allow dogs, I’ll be reasonable about that. I like my tennis ball, but I try to be sociable with visitors to the house, so I usually offer them my ball just to welcome them and show them I’m friendly! I’m well mannered – I know the important words like come, wait, sit, down, and this way (as well as the word “treats” of course!). But well mannered doesn't mean boring -- I also have a playful side that I think you'd find entertaining. I was a devoted companion until my person had to go into assisted living, and while I’ve accepted that I couldn’t go there with her, I do want the chance to love and snuggle again. It’s what I’m best at. If you’re the same way, I just know that this could be a wonderful match – so do call the people at NorCal Poodle Rescue so they can arrange for us to meet.
All our Dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoption.
