WHY IS THIS DOG IN NEED??- This fellow was picked up as a stray. His time was up and needed out to ensure he was not euthanized.

WHERE IS THIS DOG NOW ?- He has arrived into foster care with a co-pound dog- female hound x.
He is very emaciated- skinny and needs to gain weight before he can be fully vetted.

**ALL ABOUT HOUND-MALE **
He was good with the clinic cat and no issues with seeing fellow pound dogs at close proxcimity.

Info from Foster mom on having just arrived:
I got them home O.K. Both are very timid, the male more so than the female. They ate a little but not very much. I have had them outback and the female will come to me when I call her, but the male just ignores me. I don't think either one of them has had much socialization. They are both very good with Bella.

They have had many changes in their lives of recent and are so confused. I am sure as they settle they will start to feel more comfortable.
They likely had very little interaction or training.. so will see what needs work.

Hayden is very quiet and laid back.He is good with people and even greets strangers. He is not the type of dog that seeks constant attention. A quick pat on the head and he is off to do his own thing which right now is laying outside.

Energy Level; His energy level is quite low. He does not play but likes to go for short walks.

Packmates and Cats; Hayden has been good with any dogs that he has met. Shows no aggression. Tends to ignore others when he is out for his walk. He is very good with cats.

House Rules; Hayden spends most of his time outside. He is in the house at night to sleep. When he is in the house he hasn't bothered trying to get into the garbage or up on the counter. He is not allowed up-stairs.

Leash Manners and Commands; He is pretty good on the leash. Quite eager to go when we first start out on a walk, but settles down quickly and then he goes along with nose to the ground in typical hound fashion taking in all the smells. He does not pull. Sadly Hayden does not know any commands but will come to me when I go outside to get him in the evening when it is time for his supper.

Food and Toys; Hayden has no food aggression. He is fed 11/2 cups twice a day and is eating relatively well. Sometimes he will eat a bit before he goes to bed at night. Hayden does not play with toys. I don't think he was given the chance to know how to play with them.

Bathing and Care; I have not given Hatden a bath but from his personality I don't think he would mind. He does like being brushed.

Yard Manners; Hayden is tied at the side of the house and likes to lay in the sun. He has a dog house which is in the shade and he sleeps in it during the afternoon when it is hot. He does not dig. When he has been out back of the house in the yard he did not bother trying to jump the fence.

Crate; I have not had him in the crate.

Traveling; Hayden is good in the vehicle. He sits on the back seat .

Routine; Haydens day usually starts around 6:30 A.M. He goes ouside to do his business and then comes in the house to eat. He then wants to go back ouside and that is where he spends the rest of his day. He comes back in the house around 5:00 P.M. and has has his supper. We then go for a short walk. He stays outside till it starts to get dark, we go for another walk and then he is in the house for the rest of the night.

Right Family; Hayden would most likely fit in with a family that is not too active. He does not mind children but is not the kind of dog to play. He generally just likes to lay around and take life easy. He does not seem to have any real fears.
.

We welcome your application for consideration .

*** HOW IT WORKS - ADOPTION INFORMATION ****
Please read ** ALL** the information provided below on the process to
save time and facilitate the process in a smooth manner.

The adoption fee does NOT cover the cost of vetting or supplies for these animals - If you cannot afford the adoption fee
(that is a fraction of actual REDUCED VETTING expenses incurred) then you should reconsider adopting.
These animals deserve forever homes, good food, regular vet care, and emergency care as needed.
Pets should never be euthanized by their owners simply based on financial consideration when something goes wrong.
