My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, Everyone! My name is Tequila, nice to meet you! I am a big, male, Blue and Gold macaw, approximately 27 years old.

At first I was scared of my surroundings and my foster mommy but soon I began to warm up. Now, I will step up on my foster mom's arm, but only if there is a treat involved. I actually prefer to hang out on her shoulder and nibble her ear but I don't like to stay up there for too long. Being away from my cage for an extended amount of time makes me kinda nervous so sometimes I'd rather just hang out with you while I'm sitting on top of my cage. I would do better in a quiet home, a lot of noise and commotion contributes to my nervousness.

I am a good eater and I just love veggies and fruits. Oh..I love treats too. I love it when my foster mommy gives me treats. Did I mention I like treats?

I am fully feathered and have no past history of plucking. Like any macaw, I can get loud throughout the day and am not suited to condo or apartment living. I say a few words and have a loud, disinctive whistle. I am also missing a nail on one of my toes but that does not get in my way..not at all! I love my toys but I go through them reallllly fast! I also love to hang out by the window and watch the ducks go by. I know when it's time to go night night, my foster mommy covers my cage with a sheet. I like that, it makes me feel comfy and secure.

I need a special someone that has a lot of love, patience and attention to give me (maybe some treats too). In return, I know I will make a devoted friend and companion. Could that special someone possibly be you? Please come meet me and let's find out! While you are waiting to meet me, would you like to send me a gift from my Amazon wish list? It would awesome if you would, I would so appreciate it! Here is the link:

Thanks for reading my story!
Bye for now, Tequila
