Updated bio 5/13/16: Charley Barley, a 13 lb, 8 year old Yorkie who is being fostered in West Palm Beach, FL. Charley B's adoption fee is $300 and includes all vetting (neuter, dental cleaning, immunizations, microchip and chip registration). A Vet reference, personal references, and home visit are required for adoption. Charlie B. went in for his dental today and was a champ about it. He had a record 21 teeth removed! They were so rotten, many were loose and hanging on by only tartar. He still has his molars and caninea, and has no problems eating. He is now on antibiotics to make sure he doesn't get an infection. Dental care is so important in these little dogs, and it's the most frequently neglected part of their care we see. Please make sure to keep your dog's teeth clean, whether it's by brushing, dental chews, yearly dentals at the vet or other ways. Neglected teeth not only cause bad breathe, but they can get infected, causing tremendous pain as well as lead to kidney, heart and other organ failure.

Charlie is such a sweet boy. He doesn't have a mean bone in his little body. Charlie B would love someone home a lot of the day to let him out, but he is house trained. He would also do well with children over the age of 8. Charlie is a little cuddle love bug. If you would like a couch buddy, this guy is for you. However, he needs to lose some weight, so regular exercise and walks are necessary to Charley's health. If you think this sweetheart is the one for you, please submit an application.
