Sarah's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sarah's Story...
Sarah is an 8 year old mixed breed dog -- likely corgi and hound. She was formerly a boarding client for many years, but one of her elderly owners passed away and the other was not able to care for her, so she has been with me for about six weeks now and she is ready to find her forever home.

Sarah weighs around 55 pounds and could stand to lose a few more. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, as well as current on heartworm prevention. Sarah is crate trained, reliably housebroken and typically a very quiet dog.

Sarah gets along very well with other dogs of all sizes. I haven't tested her with cats, but I suspect she would be fine after a proper introduction. She is a gentle, easygoing dog who has adapted very well to her changed environment, although she is a bit shy at the get go. She will bark in the yard at noises outside of the fence, but is otherwise quiet. She plays with other dogs and would do very well in a home with children of any age. Sarah is sweet and docile -- just an all around great dog.

Physically fenced yard required (no "invisible" fences), no exception. Application, home visit and donation to local rescue group will be required. Courtesy posts appreciated.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sarah, a Richmond Welsh Corgi/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Welsh Corgi/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Welsh Corgi/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Welsh Corgi/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Welsh Corgi/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
