Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cookie was found wandering in the wilds of Chatsworth, CA. Though this 8 year old, 5 lb little girl had a microchip, the numbers were disconnected. When we took her in, we quickly saw that she was in dreadful condition. She needed to be spayed, had a very large inguinal hernia, along with breath that could have knocked a sailor over due to so many rotted teeth. Everything has now been taken care of. Unfortunately all of her remaining teeth had to come out. Through extensive lab work that we had done on her, we also learned that sweet Cookie does have a Thyroid condition. Cookie is given a tiny pill each day and all is fine. Though she is officially a "senior", as she is over 7 years old, to Yorkies in Yorkieland that means nothing. In good Yorkie tradition, she is very active, rules the house, knows what she wants, lets you know it and expects to have it when she wants it! Cookie's foster mom loves that she is housebroken, is a great car passenger, walks beautifully on a leash, is not a big barker, and while Cookie likes to be near her foster mom and have a cuddle, she is not overly needy. While Cookie would love to sleep on her foster mom's bed, she sleeps beautifully through the night in her own dog bed. Cookie is currently living with other dogs and a cat and, of course, she keep them in line! Cookie will do best as an only dog in the home.
