My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Grady arrived at the shelter in late April, and is now neutered, vaccinated and ready for his forever home! He is a very happy, outgoing and semi-active cat, curious about whatever his volunteers are doing, and about what the birds and squirrels are up to outside the cat room windows. He roams the room checking out every nook and cranny, and when he encounters other cats he's interested, but not too much so -- he doesn't quarrel with the others, but he's not yet mingling with them. He should be fine in a home with other cats, as long as your cats are accustomed to fellow felines. We're not sure how he feels about dogs, but he hasn't displayed any anxiety when he sees the shelter dogs coming and going on the other side of the glass door. He's easy to handle, and one moment is interested in a lap, but the next something catches his attention, so he's off to explore. He just started to settle in a bit and relax while he's out of his cage, flopping around on the floor for a volunteer to come pet him, or hopping up to help us do dishes so we can better reach him to give him a smooch. He has all the signs of being a wonderful companion to most households, including those with children.

Grady is estimated to be 4 years old, is box-trained, neutered, current on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Adoption fee for adult cats is $50 (cash or check only, please).
