Michonne's Story...
From Michonne's foster mom: I met Michonne and her siblings one day as I was wondering through my day. She was so beautiful, I just had to meet her. So I said, "Hey there Beautiful! What's a nice girl like you doing in a place like this?" She was shy at first, with me being a stranger and all, but she soon warmed up to me and said that she and her siblings had been wandering around on their own for a little while and if I were to offer a warm place to sleep and food, she would be grateful. I said, "Come on with me, everybody is welcome!" And so they did. Since then Michonne has become my biggest snuggle buddy, as well as a great conversationalist! She lives with one small dog and 2 large dogs who don't bother her a bit, and she also gets along well with all of her feline siblings. This sweet girl has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated (age appropriate), de-wormed, and tested negative for FIV/Feluk. Call 507-451-4512 to meet Michonne in her foster home. Her adoption fee is $100. (C&AL)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Michonne, a Owatonna Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
