Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Matoshi is a 9 year old red male shiba inu who was surrendered to a West Virginia shelter because he was suffering from severe skin allergies. They wanted to make sure he found a good home so they asked DCSIR to help.
Matoshi came into DCSIR with pus-filled eyes and painful, raw itchy skin. With DCSIR's allergy program of raw feeding and no drugs, over several months Matoshi has now progressed into a happy, furry dog with plenty of energy and fun--who loves to play fetch! He is good with most other dogs, cats, and children over age 12.
Matoshi was finally well enough to receive his updated core vaccine and microchip. Matoshi was so well behaved and loved getting head massages and pets from people who said he was so handsome and sweet!
The staff said Matoshi was a perfect gentleman in his bow-tie and he didn't squirm or protest during his exam! Matoshi has a little more fur to fill in on his rear end but he is available for adoption!
Note Matoshi will be required to be adopted out on the species-appropriate, nutrient-dense, balanced and diverse raw diet he has been on since his recovery with our rescue.
