Winging Cat Rescue is a licensed Dept of Ag rescue in GA. All our kittens and cats are fully vetted--they are combotested for feline aids/ feline leukemia, receive all age appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, given worming medication and flea preventive to protect their health and all are microchipped We rescue from the communities in which our volunteers live and work in --- we rescue where our hearts are. We also offer financial assistance on sliding scale to help individuals fix the adult stray cats they have been caring for and do not want them adding to the already overwhelming animal overpopulation problem. We provide a Shelter Wellness program for the kittens and cats at Butts County animal control -- we help with fvrcp vaccinations, worming meds, and flea preventive to protect their health so these animals can find homes directly through animal control. We also offer the Fixed & Fabulous program to the overlooked adoptable kittens & cats at that pound to increase potential adopter traffic to that animal control so these animals are not euthanized. the county has fully embraced this program by even opening up a room to become a free roaming cat exercise and play room for the ones who are fully vetted. This reduces the cage rage stress for the animals and they can show off their wonderful personalities when people come to meet them.
