Dixie (POM-BS)'s Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Dixie (POM-BS)'s Story...
When Dixie came to rescue she had trouble barking because her throat was so infected, now she sings and plays all the time. She was also Heartworm positive but has been treated and has an all clear by our vets.

In the photo by the tree, she is burying a chewy stick—the kind she loves now but couldn’t chew before because her teeth were neglected.

She is now one happy, healthy girl who craves lots of love and attention from someone. She is very affectionate—dives at your feet and rolls on her back to get her tummy rub. She has done well in the house training, we think she has been a house dog in her previous life? Dixie will make someone very happy." 7 years and 16 lbs.

Revel in a new feeling, adopt an "older/more mature" dog. This girl is only "mature" in estimated years not in her love of people and life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie (POM-BS), a Washington Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Washington, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Washington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washington paves the way for another one to be saved.
