I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Steele is a 2 year old, 12 lb Manchester Terrier/Chihuahua mix, and what a handsome boy he is! Steele is a sweet dog with a great temperament! He loves being with his person, being in his person's lap, being petted, sunning in the yard and rolling in the grass. He loves to play with toys, and if there is no one available to throw a ball for him, he just tosses a stuffed toy up in the air, and runs to catch it! He gets along great with the other dog in his foster home, and he loves going to the dog park. People at the park are always commenting on what a handsome dog he is, and he draws a lot of attention because of his good looks and friendly personality. He climbed up into the lap of a 10 year old boy who was petting him at the park, so we know he will do great with kids. He would do best with another dog about his own size, or would be good as an only dog too. He tends to be intimidated by larger dogs, but he might be fine with proper introductions. He likes to go on walks, and is good on a leash. He sleeps quietly through the night in his crate which is located in his fosters' bedroom. He would love to sleep with his people if allowed. Steele does NOT likes to be crated during the day while his people are gone. They give him run of he house because he doesn't have accidents or destroy anything. Some lucky person is going to get a wonderful dog when they adopt Steele.
Humane Tomorrow is a non-profit 501(c), all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted and abused animals in Flower Mound and the surrounding areas. We are also committed to spay/neuter assistance and education to companion animal guardians.
We do not have a shelter, so all animals in our program are placed in temporary foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
We have Adopt A Pets on the second and forth Saturday each month at
Petsmart in Flower Mound.
6060 Long Prairie Road (Hwy. 2499)
Flower Mound, Texas 75028
We also have AdoptAPurrs (cats only) at Petsmart each Sunday AFTER an Adopt A Pet.
Going North on Hwy.2499, the Petsmart will be on the right, just before Justin Road (FM407)
You can see all our animals there or, if you find an animal you just can't wait to see, call or E-mail for an appointment.
Our Adoption Process...
All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.
Our adoption fees are... Cats: $120 for kittens & cats $140 for declawed cats $100 for senior cats (10 yrs +)
Dogs: $200 for puppies and dogs $175 for senior dogs (senior depends on breed and size) Note that some dogs may have higher adoption fees if they are very adoptable or "designer" breeds
This adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.
Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.
