Here's what the humans have to say about me:
THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. ADR is not responsible for the health, temperament, behavior or placement of this dog. Listings are done at the request of the dog's owner and as an outreach and community service in hopes of finding these dogs a loving, stable forever home. Placement decisions are made solely at the discretion of the owner, and not Austin Dog Rescue. Owners are required to ask for an adoption fee from adopters.
This is the information that we received from Drake's current owner:
Hi! Drake was rescued from a shelter where he was found as a stray. He is a 1-year-old, a Keeshond mix, but looks a lot like a German Shepherd. He is the friendliest dog in the world around humans. He loves to just follow you around, waiting to be petted, and loves to play with his toys. I say he's a small dog in a big dog's body. He is also trained well, knows a few basic commands such as "sit," and "shake," and is perfectly house-trained; no accidents ever! When it comes to other dogs/cats, Drake does not like them. He is aggressive towards them, will lunge or bark at them until they are out of sight. For this reason, Drake needs to be in a home where he has a back yard to run around and play in where he can be away from other dogs, and does not need to be out in public around them. He is an amazing companion, loves his humans deeply and always wants to be around them. It is most important though that Drake finds a home with a back yard, somewhere he does not need to be around other animals. Help give Drake the perfect home!
