My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winston is a darling little man of 4.5 pounds who is spunky, snuggly, affectionate, and fun! When we first got Winston, he weighed only 2.1 pounds, but was full grown. We suspect he had been put out by his former owners and nearly died of staravation before being found and taken to animal control. Winston has been lovingly nurtured by his foster mom for several months and he enjoys the family company and also the other small dogs there.

Winston is shy at first with new people but blossoms after he gets to know you. He likes other dogs and would love to have a friend closer to his own size, he's best friends with my chihuahua and rat terrier. He is completely housebroken and enjoys exploring the yard or lying in the sun. Most of all he wants to be with his person all the time whether in your lap or right next to you, staying warm and safe. He is not happy being alone and will follow you from room to room.

Because Winston is so small, he needs to be carried up and down any steps. His size makes him fragile and not an appropriate choice for children or big, rambunctious dogs. He's very easy to bathe and just needs a quick daily combing. His coat does not shed but grows quickly so he needs grooming every 3 to 4 weeks.

Winston is active and in fine health now but he suffers from seizures. We have been working with the vets to control his seizures and he receives medications 3 times a day which cost about $65 per month for the rest of his life. He has learned to take them and has improved greatly. We would like to find Winston his forever family in the Atlanta area with the financial means to continue his treatment. He's a joy and we will miss him!

Winston has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $250.00.

If you are interested in adopting this cutie, please write us at PricelessPets4u@gmail.com and ask for an application to adopt. We are a foster-home based organization, and the adoption process starts when you submit your application. Once that has been approved, we can schedule a time for you to meet Winston.
