Ashki's Info...

Ashki's Story...
Ashki is a Husky mix with an incredible personality. Not only is he gorgeous with his cool black and white fur, he's very sweet and gentle and walks beautifully on a leash. He's playful when you want him to be and loves snuggle time when you'd rather have some quiet time. He would make a wonderful companion to anyone who loves to walk, jog or just sit and toss his ball for him. He's 60 pounds and is only 2 yrs. old. He is afraid of cats but great with other dogs. Put on your tennis shoes, bring a ball and get ready to meet the best pal you've ever had.

For more information or to see Ashki, submit an online dog adoption application at http://hsfc.org/adoptions/applications/online/. After reviewing the application, staff will contact you—typically within two business days— to make an appointment to visit the Farm where our dogs and horses are kept.

Our dogs and horses are NOT at the HSFC shelter at 4057 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, VA--only our cats, birds, rabbits, and small mammals can be visited there. Come by and see us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ashki, a Fairfax Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
