Sadie's Story...

Sadie is a 9 month old German Shepherd mix recently pulled from the Humane Society after she was too terrified to be placed on the adoption floor. She would sit in the back corner of her kennel and just shake and not interact.

Within 30 minutes of being in her foster home she began to show us her personality and this brave little girl emerged shocking and impressing us at the same time. The second she saw her fur foster sister, a black lab mix female. her eyes lit right up and they immediately began playing drawing Sadie further and further out of her shell. Today she's a happy, spunky, and smart 9 month puppy just as she should be. She loves other dogs, does great with kids, is a little hesitant around adult strangers still but give her a few minutes and she'll be all yours.

Sadie is working on potty training, currently being taught to ring a bell to go out, kennel trained, and very smart. She would LOVE a forever family with another dog so she can have a sister or brother of her own. She has not met a cat but young enough that acclimation attainable. If you're looking for a German Shepherd or mix, Sadie would love to meet you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a St. Paul German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in St. Paul, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in St. Paul.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Paul already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Paul breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Paul paves the way for another one to be saved.
