Sparky's Story...
Hello. I’m Sparky. I was a still a little confused and scared about why I arrived here in May 2016, but they assured me I would get over that quickly and get feisty at JRT-U.

My heart was broken when my family moved and decided they couldn’t take me with them. They dropped me off at the kill shelter with “my child” watching everything. I’m sure they were as sad and lost as me. But it “is what it is,” I guess, and I knew I had to move on.

In late June, they discovered I had a nasty Pseudomonas infection in my ears. Yep, that’ll do it. I’m recouping now and feeling so much better. Even so, I’m still very chill, easygoing and non-confrontational for a Jack Russell.

I’m 5 years old, around 18 lbs., heartworm negative, UTD on shots, and I get along fine with other dogs, children, cats, etc. I’m even housebroken. I’m very laid-back and submissive. I love to be loved on and will easily roll over for belly rubs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sparky, a Conyers Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Conyers, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Conyers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conyers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conyers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Conyers paves the way for another one to be saved.
