From Xena's foster mom:

Xena is one year old beauty - born around 5/16/15, who had been living outside in the Bronx for at least 6 months before she came to us. A nice family was feeding her outside, and from what they said, Xena had not had an easy life . People mistreated her by kicking and throwing things at her when she tried to get close for petting. When she was pregnant someone kicked her so hard that she lost all her babies.

When Xena came to my house she wasn't super trilled about it and her trust wasn't immediate . It took a little time before she felt comfortable but now getting kisses is not strange to her anymore. She likes be petted but she will let know when she has had enough. She likes to play and will jump on the bed to get pets and will reward you with loud purrs back. She is a good kitty with outstanding looks, but needs someone who will be patient and gentle with her. After what she has been through it is not surprising that she needs time to trust. Xena will blossom in the right home and will be great pet given the right chance. Xena would be the best as your only kitty.
