Are you looking for a loyal, best friend? A sweet dog that will lie near you while you watch television or read? Or entertain you while he tosses and chases his tennis ball? If so, I am your boy! My name is Mo. I am a one and a half year old Shih Tzu, weigh 9 pounds, and have beautiful, cream colored fur. When I first came to my foster home, I had never worn a harness or leash. So I was a little afraid of them at first. Now I love to put them on because it means I get to go outside! I am also learning to take short walks on the leash. Because I have never been exposed to lots of people and things in the environment, I have a lot to learn. I adapt well, though, if you give me time and are patient! My foster mom is happy that I am learning to go potty outside! I am getting really good at that, as long as I am taken outside consistently. I have some very cute mannerisms. One of the most endearing is my big burp after I eat or have a drink of water!
Mo has a very calm and gentle personality. He is shy at first, but as soon as he knows you, all is well and he is a very happy boy! Mo will need to continue to learn basic dog obedience and gain confidence with his new family. But he loves to please and is a smart dog that learns quickly! If you are willing to give this little boy some time and love, he will be your best friend forever! Mo would be happy in a home with or without another small dog. He just needs a companion who will be with him much of the day! Mo would be happiest in a quiet, calm household with adults and older children.
Mo’s adoption fee is $370.00 plus $26.92 sales tax for a total of $396.92. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and is on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. His foster mom would like him to live in the immediate Twin Cities area so she can see him once in a while. She would also like Mo and his new family to attend the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion which will be held on September 10th.
