Boomer's Story...
Boomer, or Boomie as we call him, is a strikingly beautiful treeing walker coonhound. And nope, that dog don't hunt....he was rescued from the Cumberland County shelter in NC. We guestimate he about 12 months old. He weighs 70 lbs and is a bundle of energy. He likes to play with other dogs but really enjoys the company of his human. He needs either constant canine companionship or human companionship. But he will give you lots of love in return. He thinks he is a lap dog; stay warm with Boomer on cold winter nights!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boomer, a Pittsboro Treeing Walker Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound for sale in Pittsboro, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound dog from a breeder in Pittsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
