My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tarasca was rescued from the streets of Michoacan in Mexico, and this is the story by the rescuer in Mexico:

Tarasca’s peaceful expression in a loving embrace, then finding her favorite spot indoors and discovering a toy, ultimately transforming her into a playful doggie enjoying life; all this makes every effort of her rescue worth it. She was spayed and cared for at the veterinary clinic but released back on the street destined to roam and beg for food. After two trips and searching the town, when we found her again and approached her, she acted as if we had been her loving caregivers all her life. While preparing for travel, she spent some time at a temporary shelter in Mexico living with rescued puppies. When she was served her food the puppies would swarm over her bowl and she would gently step away allowing them to eat. She is very friendly and interested in meeting all people and dogs. After two trips to the dog park she learned to pick up the ball and bring it back, also learned on her own to walk up to other dogs her size to meet them. Even the day we walked her for the first time on a leash to the vet for her spay surgery, she walked as if she had used a leash many times before, gently by our side. If you like to go on hikes, long walks, a partner to explore and play in the outdoors she is the dog to take with you. Tarasca rides peacefully in the car; as travel time in the car becomes her re-charging nap time, she makes the perfect travel companion. Whether in public places or at dinner parties, she behaves calmly and lays down quietly, or plays with the dogs of the house and greets whoever wants to pet her. Could Tarasca be the perfect addition to your family?
