Spica's Story...
*LOCATED IN ASTORIA*

Spica is pretty awesome. He loves ear rubs and head scratches, and has been known to insist on getting them. Everyone who meets him is amazed at how friendly he is. He will roll over for belly scratches too! A true New Yorker, he wears black confidently and makes it look amazing.

Spica is a sweet 1 yr old boy rescued from Brentwood Long Island late last year when his rescuer found him hurt and crying. She nursed him back to health and he is now 100% ready to be adopted.

Spica will do well in a home with or without cats. He makes friends easily!
UTD with all vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and has already been neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spica, a Astoria Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Astoria, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Astoria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Astoria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Astoria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Astoria paves the way for another one to be saved.
