Facts about Spica

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (Mostly)
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
*LOCATED IN ASTORIA*

Spica is pretty awesome. He loves ear rubs and head scratches, and has been known to insist on getting them. Everyone who meets him is amazed at how friendly he is. He will roll over for belly scratches too! A true New Yorker, he wears black confidently and makes it look amazing.

Spica is a sweet 1 yr old boy rescued from Brentwood Long Island late last year when his rescuer found him hurt and crying. She nursed him back to health and he is now 100% ready to be adopted.

Spica will do well in a home with or without cats. He makes friends easily!
UTD with all vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and has already been neutered.

About Friends With Four Paws, East Coast

About Our Rescue Group...

We're a small group of volunteers with the same goals, to save lives. We're always looking for new people to add to our crew, helping at local adoption events, fostering dogs, picking up dogs from the airport or ground transport and meeting potential adopters, and any other task available!

Please visit our website (www.friendswithfourpaws.org) and our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/fwfprescue) for the latest updates.

We are also on Twitter: @fwfprescue
and Instagram: @friendswithfourpaws

Our Adoption Process...

All of our animals are initially pulled from local shelters and the general public, placed in foster care, fully vetted (spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, flea/tick/heartworm prevention and testing, deworming, microchip) and all pets come with a free 30 days pet insurance policy. If an adopter is interested in a specific pet, they can fill out an application and/or send an email to our main contact and one of our volunteers will get back with them shortly. Then once the application is processed we will set up a meeting for the adopter and the dog to see if they are each a good fit for each other. Our adoption fee is $475.
