Chewy's Story...
Chewy is a 1year old, black lab/chow mix, male. Chewy is very sweet and loving. His tail is always wagging and he loves meeting new people. He gets along great with cats and dogs. He is very mellow and low energy. He likes to follow you around and just hang out. When you are sitting, he puts his 2 front feet in your lap and gives you kisses. He loves affection and attention. Chewy came to me as a stray, so not much is known about his history. He didn't know how to be on a leash or what being inside was. Now he is loving very moment of it! He loves his leash now and likes to go for walks. He is warming up very nicely and will make a great family dog. For more information call Jen #623-210-6578 Ryan-623-606-4855 or e-mail at bu.ter.fly@hotmail.com. You can visit Chewy and more of his friends at the Petco on Happy Valley/I17 freeway every Sunday from 11-5pm. Rescue a forever friend! .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chewy, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
